Online Resources


There are many online resources available to teachers and this site is designed to organize some of the most commonly used sites. Click on the links below to learn more about each source, see sample student work and learn tips and tricks that we have found to be useful in implementing technology in our classrooms.

  • ToonDoo-------------------students can create online comic strips

  • Zotero----------------------an online research tool that allows students to capture and annotate research material

  • Blackboard---------------a learning management system that provides tools to extend learning beyond the physical classroom space


  • Social Bookmarking..share favorite websites or resources quickly and easily with faculty or students.

  • EdInsight-----------an online tool that allows teachers to access test scores and other data about their students to assist data driven instruction

  • www.animoto.com--------------------students can create online slideshows and videos; teachers can request education accounts through email

  • www.bighugelabs.com..................students can build motivational-like posters and other similar ways to edit photos.


  • www.voki.com ---------------------create online "characters" that speak through text to speech, podcasts or voice recording, teachers can also use this to speak to their students via wikispaces

  • http://www.wordle.net/....................a website that allows students to creatively create "word clouds" from a text or arrange a text with the most prominent words sticking out.

  • www.studyisland.com.................. a website that offers assessments and games based on the PA standards. Your school must subscribe to this service.
